The RTS Cymru Wales Awards 2023 was on Friday 21 April.
The Royal Television Society Cymru Wales returned to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for a glittering annual awards ceremony – celebrating the very best in content made by students and industry professionals over the past year.
It was a fantastic evening.
It’s been so rewarding to be apart of the event planning as a member of the RTS Cymru committee; and it was an honour to Judge and organise a Jury for the Student Undergraduate award category.
I even got to spend the evening with the magnetic Rakie Ayola and the magnificent Aleighcia Scott.
I joined the RTS Cymru Committee last year in 2022, after their previous awards. I was recommended by my at the time mentor/creative director and after speaking to Ed Russell the Chair of the committee, I became a member and I have been helping and/or joining them at events ever since.
From the Bad Wolf His Dark Materials S3 Screening, to their Sports Documentary Panel event, and now to helping plan and Judge the annual RTS Cymru Wales Awards.
It's been a fantastic year with RTS and I'm very excited for the future
